During the Pentecost weekend 2026, the Lavender Museum Luberon offers a family-friendly programme in the heart of Provence, ideal for a memorable thing to do in the Luberon. Enjoy a relaxed cultural visit with a self-guided audio tour and creative workshops for children, in an authentic setting near Gordes and Avignon.

Saturday May 23, 2026

  • Self-guided audio tour of the Lavender Museum
    Discover the museum at your own pace with an audio guide available in 11 languages. Learn the story of lavender in Provence, traditional harvesting and distillation methods, and the cultural importance of lavender in the Luberon.
  • Afternoon – Lavender sachet workshop
    Children make and personalise their own lavender sachet by choosing the fabric, ribbon and a mix of aromatic plants. A fun family activity in Provence, with a scented souvenir to take home.

 

Sunday May 24, 2026

  • Self-guided audio tour of the Lavender Museum
    A cultural visit in Provence, ideal for international visitors and families staying in the Luberon region.
  • Lavender sachet workshop
    The lavender sachet workshop is offered again on Sunday, giving families another chance to enjoy this creative activity in Provence.
  • Scented watercolour workshop
    In the afternoon, join a unique artistic experience where painting meets fragrance. Participants paint using scented watercolours, created exclusively by the Conservatoire des Ocres de Roussillon and delicately perfumed with essences used in fine fragrance.

A visit designed for families in Provence

Throughout the Pentecost weekend, the museum offers a visit adapted for children: a fun quiz, access to the self-guided audio tour, and a Young Lavender Grower diploma awarded at the end of the route. A dedicated children’s area also allows younger visitors to extend the experience in a creative way.
