For this special festive day, the museum offers discovery workshops for children and adults included with the museum admission ticket.
On July 22, 2026, the Lavender Museum Luberon opens its doors for a hands-on day celebrating craft, senses and heritage. With Traditional Made-in-France Know-How, visitors enjoy an immersive Luberon experience in a must-visit museum in Provence — iconic scents, traditional gestures and encounters with the museum team. A perfect answer to “What to do in the Luberon?” near Gordes and Avignon, in the Vaucluse, in Provence.
That day, visitors can access a place rarely open to the public: the laboratory located in the building next to the museum. The production team presents the key stages behind the organic skincare range made with fine lavender essential oil, grown and distilled by the Lincelé family. The visit gives clear reference points, shows quality controls, and explains raw material choices — a concrete look at Made in France.
Lab visits: maximum 8 people per session, at the following times: 11:00 am, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 4:00 pm.
Booking required by phone at +33 (0)4 90 76 91 23.
At the Lavender Museum Luberon, Made in France starts at the source: fine lavender. It is grown on the family estate without irrigation, using sowing, crop rotations and green manure. It is distilled on site, ensuring clear traceability and consistent quality. From this fine lavender essential oil, the museum develops its own organic cosmetics — in-house formulas designed, tested and made in the estate laboratory. Visitors discover a complete local production chain, from field to bottle.
This approach also guides packaging choices. Packaging and tubes are manufactured in France, with priority given to the closest possible partners to limit transport and support national know-how. Production is based in the wider Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, and very often in the Luberon. For the shop, supply is kept short: most products come directly from the lab just a few metres away, significantly reducing the logistics footprint.
Made in France here is more than a label. It reflects a responsible production approach developed by a family business focused on quality, traceability and environmental impact — adding meaning to a visit in the heart of Provence and the Luberon.
From opening time, visitors can choose their own pace: self-guided tour, workshops, distillation moments, deeper explanations and a gourmet break. The day is easy to plan — even with children. This Luberon museum visit offers short activities alongside more in-depth experiences.
The audio-guided visit invites you to explore a collection filled with authentic pieces and to follow the story of lavender, tools, people and the lands of the Luberon. Ideal for a family visit in the Luberon, a couple’s outing, or a cultural stop near Gordes.
The audio guide is available in French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Czech, Dutch and Russian.
Duration: 1h to 1h15.
