Organic winery Domaine de La Coquillade in Goult
In the heart of Provence or In Luberon, between Mont Ventoux and the Provençal hills, Domaine de la Coquillade extends over 29 hectares of vineyards cultivated using organic farming methods. The estate produces white, rosé and red wines under IGP Méditerranée and AOP Ventoux classifications. It is also a true place to visit in Provence.
Benefiting from generous Mediterranean sunshine and refreshed by the mistral wind, this organic vineyard lives in harmony with its natural environment. On these red and sandy soils, 17 hectares are located very close to the Coquillade Provence hotel, between olive trees and garrigue landscapes. The estate highlights emblematic grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache Noir and Blanc, Cinsault, Marsanne and Roussanne.
Faithful to an environmentally respectful approach, Domaine de la Coquillade increasingly favours indigenous yeasts naturally present on its grapes, reducing the use of purchased cultured yeasts. This choice fully enhances the identity of the terroir and enriches the aromatic complexity of each vintage.
In the cellar, winemaking is inspired by ancestral know-how, with fermentations carried out in ceramic, wooden and concrete vats to preserve the authenticity of each vintage.
The tasting cellar welcomes visitors in Goult, offering a friendly experience around the estate’s wines, accompanied by gourmet platters of charcuterie and cheeses from local producers — perfect thing to discover Provence.
The vineyards and winemaking cellar are located in Gargas, on the Coquillade Provence hotel site. Guided cellar tours and vineyard walks are available by reservation by phone or directly on their website: vignobles-coquillade.com
